About the iGen4500DF

A subsidiary of the current CBS Corporation, Westinghouse Electric Corporation is an American manufacturer of electronics, electric appliances and lighting of all sorts. The company has been around since the 1880s. That’s a long time for a company that produces electronics! So, there’s no doubt that they have more experience in the market than most.

The iGen4500DF uses innovative inverter technology to maximize fuel efficiency and reduce noise levels, while providing clean, stable power to safely charge sensitive electronics.

This model includes a remote start and a push button electric start in addition to the traditional pull-start found on other gas engine models. The LED data center display and various indicator lights provide all the info you need to keep it running smoothly.

The Westinghouse iGen4500DF packs some serious power with its 3700 running watts on gasoline / 3330 on propane and 4500 starting watts on gas / 4050 on propane. This means you can power several devices and electrical appliances simultaneously.

For example, if you’re camping you can simultaneously power a radiant heater, an RV refrigerator, an RV AC, and a slow cooker. At home, you can fire up the fridge, a hair dryer, a waffle iron, and charge your cell phone, all at the same time. On a job site you can work a table saw and a reciprocating saw simultaneously, that is if you are one of those four-handed people.

If that still isn’t enough, it does have parallel capabilities for easy pairing with another inverter generator for even more power.

The three and a half gallon fuel tank provides enough energy for up to 18 hours of run time! Even when powered by propane, this generator still provides up to 14 hours of run time. The built-in digital fuel gauge allows you to easily keep an eye on the unit’s fuel level.

It also has an optional Efficiency Mode to reduce fuel consumption when you need less power, like during the night or when you’ll be away from the campsite for an extended period of time.

Weighing in at 98 pounds, this unit is a little heavier that some other less-powerful models, but it makes up for it in utility. With a completely self-enclosed design, the iGen4500DF has better eye-appeal than other open-frame models and is perfect for recreational activities when you don’t want it to draw too much attention.

Despite the weight, mobility isn’t a problem because it comes equipped with 5-inch wheels and a telescoping handle, in addition to the two carrying handles on top of the unit.

At only 52 decibels, this generator is one of the quietest out there! It even out-ranks some of its less-powerful peers on the market. You certainly won’t have to worry about angry neighbors.

The Westinghouse iGen4500DF Dual Fuel Inverter Generator is a powerful, long-lasting, fuel efficient inverter generator – and one of the quietest ones on the market at that! Its dual fuel capability allows for greater versatility and its compact design makes it easy to transport wherever you need power.

The reliable high-capacity wattage means this model is a great option if you want to use the same generator for recreation and as well as an at-home emergency backup. The extra outlets are also super convenient for charging multiple devices and appliances simultaneously.

With very few drawbacks, this is without a doubt one of the best inverter generators on the market today.
